Life is good! The mission is great!

 What is up everyone!!! Right now I am writing this from the middle of no where because we wanted to go sledding and the way google maps takes you to get to the members house with the hill to sled on is an maintained dirt road and we have had no issues in the snow in the past so we figured we would be alright. So we sent it and now we are waiting for a member to come pull us out. It was perfectly fine up until the last little part.

It is -13 with a wind chill/feels like of -35 hahaha it isn't going to get warmer than -2 all week as the high soooo it is about that time  this what all of the fans back home have been waiting for.

We drove a missionary into Minot this week which is 2 hours away because he tore his knee up and has to get surgery so while I was there I got myself some hockey skates!! I have been going to the local outdoor rink and playing hockey with people in order to find people to teach in ways natural ways it is so sick. Gotta pull back all of my roller hockey knowledge and skills and my wrist shot is coming back way good. My last companion also plays hockey for UVU and left me his hockey stick that is all carbon fiber that is worth like $200 it is so hype!

We went on an exchange this week to this one area that is on a reservation called Poplar and it was so sick. These dogs all try to act tough but they are all soft so we ran the dogs down rather than then running us down this time 

Christmas was dope we played a hockey game with a member, his son and anyone else who was at the rink and that was super fun. A member had us over and gave us christmas gifts! She gave us some Dr. Squatch soap which is like the nice stuff that you see in the ads sometimes on Instagram or whatever but it smells so good. I swear we have good hygiene we joked about then just trying to send us a message but I promise that wasn't it hahaha.

Life is good! The mission is great!

Like I said before true joy comes from the gospel and if you are lacking in that or would like that, remember that it comes from Jesus Christ. And when it is from him it LASTS. Like Jesus told the woman at the well

13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life

If we strive to live as he did we dont have to look to temporal things for joy or "fun" or is all right here and he wants every single one of his children to have it.

New boot goofin

 I got some sweet Van's winter boots so that is hype. They are way warm and comfy and have super good grip except for on super super slick ice. I know that because I fell on my back from slipping on the slickest ice ever!! It was so wild I was so cold it didn't hurt but if you have ever seen nacho libre take down Ramsees and he flattens him on his back after using his Eagle Powers, that's pretty much what happened but mother nature/the ice was Nacho and I was sadly Ramsees. It happened so fast I didn't even know what happened. But glad we got that out of the way so I don't have to worry about slipping anymore. 

It was pretty cold! It is so funny because all of the North Dakotians try to act had by asking me how I am holding up being from California and I just tell em it really isn't that bad because you just wear a jacket and it kinda kills their party

Rez Dog type beat

 Hey everyone! 

It's been a minute! 

We have had a lot going on, we had transfers and my comp went home so that is sad he was way dope. We have been traveling a lot per usual planning with sets and helping em out and it has been paying off!

This week I was out in New Town on a reservation and I went to knock on this door and walked passed this dog house and who would've thought there would be a dog in there??? This busted lookin German shepherd comes runnin out at me and I hesitated because normally those dogs are soft and are scared but this one was it so I finally take off running and everything is covered in ice and snow and I'm wearing the shoes I have had for 3 years that have no grip and I start slipping all over the place and the dog has no leash and is like a foot from me and gaining ground but Heavenly Father protected me and stopped the dog from chasing me so that was a huge win!

The work is going well and I am loving it!! My new companion is dope too

Read 1 Nephi 20:10 ! An Elder here is having a hard time cuz he is gonna have to go home since he hurt his knee and his situation reminds me of that scripture. 

10 For, behold, I have refined thee, I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

We all go through hard things but that is how we are refined and GROW!!
