Soooo Busyyyy!

This week it started to snow again! It makes it cold but its refreshing because I can't hop in a cold pool of water anymore. Snow means we get to go do service and shovel random people's driveways! To be honest I dont understand why people shovel or snow blow their driveways at all. Your car is very capable at driving over a little bit of snow they do it on the roads but everyone here seems to shovel them so we do it as service because I know people still appreciate it but seriously when your driveway is 20ft on like a foot of snow your car can go right over it so maybe someone can explain this to me.

We have been knocking a lot of people's doors trying to get in touch with less active members which is super fun I love building relationships with everyone and meeting a bunch of new people. We have been practicing on talking to literally everyone and I am getting pretty good at going up and talking to whoever whenever and just not caring. Street contacting is actually really fun and we have been going into stores to do lots of it. We try to go into stores of stuff we like not to get distracted but to talk to people who share common interests so you can connect right off the bat.

I have been working hard on making aure our schedules are packed so that we are always doing something to work had and so that I come home after everything we did that day exhausted. Working hard has been the best and there is SO much joy in it all.

We dropped our entire teaching pool this week because none of them are really progressing but on Saturday a woman messaged our Minot Facebook page off of an ad and wanted to learn more about the church and she had been reading the Book of Mormon before hand and she is already on her fifth time reading it! She says she wants to learn more and we met with her on Sunday over the phone and next time we meet we are going to try and put her on date for baptism because she already knows a ton about our church and thinks the Book of Mormon is true and is pretty worried about the second coming so she was excited to hear that we believe in the second Coming of Jesus Christ and was very curious about the purpose of life.

In Alma 34 verse 32 of the Book of Mormon it says "For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors" this is the verse we shared with her. This life is a time to prepare ourselves to meet God and to gain experience and grow ourselves for the better. There are only two kinds of progress, we can either progress forward or backward based off of if we are trying to follow Christs example. In what ways are you preparing yourself in this life to meet God? If we aren't making forward progress and trying to be Christlike what exactly are we doing and what do we need to change in our lives to do better?
