Well I am getting transferred for the first time in 6 months! They combined our zones and I am getting moved to a small town named Stanley North Dakota which is 2,655 people and is right in between the two bigger cities in the zone.
Our Zone was by far the hypest zone in the Mission. It was called "The Brotherhood" based off of Psalm 133:1 and based off of the fact that it is the second biggest zone in the Mission but has 0 sisters in it lol. After 6 months if being here and growing tight with everyone I am leaving! Pretty sad but it's all good.
I managed to get a whole weight set up and bench press and full 45 pound bar and everything in my apartment here in Williston! Harambes Gym pt. 2 (my brother Adam had a big gym in his apartment on hid mission called harambes gym) and you might wonder or potentially were thinking of asking, Elder Dalton why did you need that set up when your apartment complex already has a gym you are approved to use?? Well I don't really know other than the fact that 2 gyms has got to be better than one right??
It is starting to warm up a bit but then again it did that a couple weeks ago then dropped negative for a few days again haha. It makes opening metal doors like doing the salt and ice challenge. Holding doors for people is extra chivalrous because you legit have to burn your hands in order to do it. Not gonna lie the first time I grabbed a frozen door handle in the winter caught me off guard because I was not expecting a random freeze burn hahaha. Keeps things interesting.
Pics:
- Saying Goodbye to some Elders
- Elder Watkins and I in front of the first hill we have seen in a long time
- Elder Christensen and I before he heads out
- A pic of what should be a bald eagle but is really of us because I accidentally had the camera flipped the wrong way so instead you get a pic of us looking at a bald eagle
- Checking out Brother Olson's ties
- Pic of us with a drunk native named Chief who was teaching us out to fight. Boy was he not very on target.
- A girl in the ward named Malan showing us how to pose for our pics before we get transferred
Comment from Grandpa Dalton: I can relate to touching metal in the cold. Milked cows at 30 below. We're proud of you and pray for you every day. Getting ready to go to Idaho in April.
