I had the opportunity to go to New Town on an exchange again! I've been there like 5 different times and it is probably my favorite area that I have never served in. We were able to do a lot of great work that day and were able to put 4 people on date for Baptism that day! It really was so nice to be in the oil field for a day again. Real nostalgic. I stopped by and said hi to 2 of my friends that I taught and helped to baptism a bit ago.
Life as a missionary has been amazing and it is crazy to think that I only have 5 months left to go. Nothing has made me happier than working diligently each day and hitting the bed more and more exhausted every night. (My companion is trying to get me on the caffeine grind but I won't submit fully don't worry)
I read Alma 30:44 this week and had a similar conversation with a Satanist on the street too. "But Alma said unto him: Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator."
God is aware of us and truly makes himself evident in each of our lives and I am beyond thankful for that! All it takes is us being a lot less close minded and prideful.
